As part of multiple schemes for the Negative Short Circuiting Devices, including Safer Isolations Phases 3, 4 & 5, over 100 sites have been surveyed and designed for including B4 and B5 sites and a variety of equipment. The sites are located across Kent and Sussex areas including Central London.

As part of Network Rails Safer Isolations in and around Wessex, several alterations to track feeds were required to be undertaken to allow for safer isolations.  A number of the equipment locations required civil design and input at AIP and detailed designs stages.

As part of the CP-6 Frameworks a number of the HV Feeders across the Kent and Sussex regions have been earmarked for renewal to ensure greater reliability across the network.

As part of the £1.2 billion East Coast Upgrade, the King’s Cross Remodelling Scheme will require infrastructure around King’s Cross Station to be replaced or redesigned, including tracks, signalling, platform and overhead line equipment.

As part of the £1.5bn MML improvement programme, a section the line between north of Bedford to Kettering and Corby was electrified in November 2019. A numbers of existing signals along the route are however still classified as not “Electrification ready” and require further assessment or remedial works to be performed.

Due to a winding fault at Oxted Substation, the existing 11kV rectifier transformer requires renewal. As well as this, the existing rectifier needs to be replaced to release critical strategic spares. Both the rectifier and the rectifier transformer have been out of service since August 2017.
